Military family teenagers from around the US partake in FLIR sponsored weekend adventure

Last weekend, FLIR sponsored Operation Blackbeard: the ultimate outdoor experience for 16 teens of fallen Special Operations service members, exploring the outdoors and searching for wildlife at night with thermal imaging technology. Together with Gold Star Teen Adventure, a program that provides healing to the children of special operations Service Members who lost their lives in the line of duty, and Black Dagger Military, a non-profit organization, the four day event provided a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor adventure to promote healing, mentorship, and support.

The weekend events included sporting clays, nighttime animal expeditions, a mini "Top Shot-style" shooting competition, and horseback riding. The 16 gold star teens traveled from all over the U.S. to Tampa Bay, FL, with the farthest coming from Hawaii.
