CLI-30

30 W VCSEL-Based Compact Laser Illuminator

VCSEL-based Compact Laser Illuminator (CLI) is a high power, pulsed laser illuminator capable of up to 30 W of peak output power. Designed for SWaP-sensitive platforms, the CLI provides speckle-free illumination in a passively cooled compact package. Currently available in the NIR band at 860 nm and the SWIR band at 1060 nm, the CLI is controlled through a serial port and operates from 8 up to 1000 Hz.

NIR laser illuminators are based on proprietary laser diode technology and achieve superior illumination quality for improved image quality with higher signal-to-noise ratios. 650 mW model provides high brightness illumination in a 3° spot size.

CLIP-NIR

Compact Laser Illuminator Pointer Near Infrared

Designed for demanding Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) requirements, CLIP™ NIR is a military-qualified 830 nm NIR illuminator and pointer incorporating advanced (patent pending) illumination technology. Its optical design produces better performance over temperature, and features three operating modes: pointer only, illuminator only, and a unique combination mode that places a bright point in the center of the illuminated scene. CLIP NIR is mil-spec and features a standard rail mount and compliant safety interlocks.

The VCSEL-based Miniature Laser Illuminator (MLI) is designed for SWaP-sensitive platforms, including unmanned aerial vehicles and hand-held systems for military personnel. Available in 100 mW and 400 mW models at 808, 850, or 860 nm, the MLI is controlled through a serial port and can operate in both CW and QCW modes. Externally controlled brightness and pulsing are available. Because the MLI is an OEM component, can customize it to fit your specific requirements.

Miniature Laser Pointer

Miniature Laser Pointer (MLP) is useful for marking objects from long distances, and is compatible with all generations of night vision goggles. The ultralow weight of the FLIR MLP enables its use in small vehicles and in handheld applications. The timing sequence has multiple patterns available for user/OEM flexibility. User-defined patterns and ramping/flashing are also allowed.

Integrated Miniature Laser Rangefinder and Target Marker

Miniature Laser Rangefinder/Target Marker (MLR/TM) is designed for SWAP-sensitive platforms including dismounted soldier hand-held systems, stabilized electro-optical turrets and ground vehicles. Weighing less than three pounds, the MLR/TM contains a laser rangefinder and a fully qualified laser target marker, both with an effective range of 10 km and 50-55 mJ output. Designed as an OEM component, FLIR can customize the design to fit your specific requirements.

The SABER-NIR illuminator provides high-power, near-infrared illumination for use with night vision and I2 imagers. With up to 499mW of adjustable NIR illumination, the SABER-NIR provides unsurpassed beam uniformity for the ultimate capability in feature resolution and target discrimination. Small and lightweight, the battery operated SABER-NIR can be rifle-mounted or handheld. With variable beam divergence and variable intensity from 10mW to 499mW, it can be used for both close quarter, long-range, and precision applications. The SABER-NIR provides a key tool for operators day or night.

Offering high-power VCSEL arrays producing up to 5W of continuous wave output power in an easy-to-mount vertical pin package. Currently offered at 1060 nm, 8xx and 9xx nm wavelengths will soon be available.

Customer-specific solutions produce unmatched speckle-free and uniform beam quality, ideal for laser illumination, industrial and materials processing, LIDAR, and structured light applications such as gesture and scene recognition. Offers standard VCSEL arrays producing up to 650 mW of continuous wave optical output power in TO-46, TO-56, and TO-39 packages; however, custom power, wavelength, packages, and system integration are also available and are ready to support your mission.

High-Power, Short-Pluse VCESLs

VPOWR is a high-performance short-pulse laser source capable of over 50W peak powers in 10-50 nanosecond pulses. The VPOWR uses proprietary Vertical-Cavity, Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) technology, which offers high peak powers and high-brightness in a circular output beam for unmatched performance for time of flight ranging, 3D sensing, LIDAR, and gesture recognition applications. The plug and play board only requires supply power and trigger signal for operation. Custom formats and solutions area available.
