FLIR Is Veteran Strong

 At FLIR we’ve had the privilege of supporting our military men and women for decades with sensing technology in their missions. Because of this history, we’ve also had the honor of hiring countless veterans once their service ends.   

Whether they served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, FLIR welcomes veterans from every service. In fact, military veterans comprise more than 15 percent of employees at FLIR’s corporate headquarters in Wilsonville, Ore., with no fewer than 10 veterans hired since May 2015.  

Our military veterans offer skills and expertise that are invaluable to FLIR, whether they’re building thermal imaging systems, maintaining the company website, or helping new customers find the right FLIR product for their needs. 

One such expert is Eric Wise, a former Marine Corps helicopter pilot and instructor. He learned first-hand the value of having a FLIR Star SAFIRE aboard the Huey he flew and now uses this knowledge to train a new generation of service members.  

May they be active duty, ready reserves, or retired, on this Veterans Day 2015, FLIR gives thanks to the men and women who have served in US armed forces.
