The latest Oryx Machine Vision camera is equipped with the high performance Sony Pregius IMX342 Global Shutter CMOS sensor, provides a high 27 FPS,  competitive pricing, and supports less expensive peripherals than its competitors. 

High resolution sensor on high speed interface

Capture global shutter 31MP images at 27 FPS, and minimize cycle times with low latency image transfer. This is the highest resolution Sony Pregius Global Shutter CMOS sensor to date for the Oryx lineup.

Application

  • High resolution is ideal for display inspection and identifying individual defective pixel and sub-pixel structures
  • Archival imaging of documents and digitization of film
  • Clock synchronization using IEEE-1588 Precision Time Protocol for precisely coordinated multi-camera systems without GPIO cables
  • Multi-camera systems on 10GigE are common, and much easier to set up than with Camera-Link or CXP
  • Surface inspection including photovoltaic panels and tiles
  • If factories shift to making larger, wider parts inspecting them on line-scan systems either requires multiple cameras, which are expensive and time-consuming to set up, or replacing existing cameras with wide line-scan cameras which require extremely expensive optics。
  • For some line-scan customers who do not require extremely high speeds, Oryx with standard F mount lenses, is a more cost-effective alternative
